Enoabasi Deborah Anwana

Enoabasi Deborah Anwana holds a PhD in Plant Ecology/Conservation and has over nineteen years’ experience working as an environmentalist. The stepping-stone into the environmental field started with the Nigerian Conservation Foundation (NCF) where she worked as Project Officer for a MacArthur foundation funded project. Her core functions within the project centred on building civil society networks that addressed sustainable use of biodiversity within three states of the Niger Delta. She has diverse field experiences on various aspect of environmental science and has been involved in several research collaboration, including working on a Climate & Development Knowledge Network (CDKN) project in conjunction with the University of Ghana on projects. Her research interest cuts across a broad spectrum of subjects including, biogeography, wetland ecology, conservation, and global environmental change. In addition to teaching and research work, she has been involved in several national Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA) projects aimed at achieving sustainable growth and development.
